With helpful hints and tips you will be able to choose from a wide range of different activities to suit your school. We will show you how you can develop a charity one off fundraiser to setting up a separate business; creating employment, supporting the curriculum and creating social wealth.
Social Enterprise is a business that trades either services or product in order to create profits that are re-invested back into social aims, such as supporting a charity or developing a community project. Social enterprises have a board of directors (usually volunteers). Many schools also have a student management board who work alongside other volunteers, staff and the board.
In summary social enterprises should tick the following:
- Social Aims
- Social Ownership
- Re-investment of profits
